The design is intended to be positioned above the printer, mounted on the back wall. This allows for efficient use of space and easier access to the spool while preventing filament slippage. To create this design, you'll need (4) 5/16" OD; 1/4" ID; 1/4" width bearings and (2) 7" lengths of 1/4" steel rod. The assembly process involves printing two copies of the spool holder, sanding lightly, inserting bearings into holes, and placing rods in bearings before attaching it to the Solidoodle backwall. Don't forget to scale up the model by 25.4mm (1 inch) if using NX software that exports in metric units but you created your part in inches.
