Design an original two-part spool holder that fits on small print beds for standard Prusa Mendel printers, with 10 mm thick pieces intended for 5LB spools. The full plate (V1.1) measures 185 mm x 117 mm, while the base is 135 x 75mm and extension arm is 147 mm x 100 mm, with a cross beam of 185mm x 15mm. Previous versions (V1.0) held 6mm or 1/4" rod but have been modified to incorporate 8mm rod in V1.1. This is the first part designed, printed, and uploaded by the creator, who welcomes comments and suggestions. To assemble, print each plate twice, interlock the base and extension, and optionally use spacers or glue/acetone to join together. Attach to your Prusa Mendel, add a spool of your choice, and enjoy printing.
