I fixed my buddy's broken spool holder on their IKEA sewing machine by designing a replacement part in Fusion 360. I then printed the new holder using PLA plastic with a brim, set at a 0.2mm layer height, and after a quick smooth out with some sandpaper, it worked perfectly.
