I designed this spool holder for Joel's studio racks. It should easily slide under a spool with one hand and accommodate both thin and thicker spools without needing to move anything out of the way. Since Prusa spools are the widest I've come across, I made it wide enough to fit those. The only necessary supports will be for the clip on the base where the two parts meet. I had to create two separate parts because printing a single piece that large is not feasible. This design also allows the arm to print flat on the bed instead of requiring additional support. I created a revised version with triangle holes, thinking it would reduce plastic usage and make it lighter. However, this modification increased print time by an hour, so I'm unsure if it achieved its intended purpose. Perhaps it added some strength instead. To further improve the design, I added a smaller base clip. Although it could have been a single part like this, I decided to take advantage of the opportunity and make it multi-colored. This also gave me practice modeling connecting parts, which can be challenging for me.
