This spool holder was designed specifically to work with a 3D printed shelf created by the skilled hands of the 3D Printing Nerd. To see how he brings it all together, check out this video where he shares his expertise: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u19MeZWK1mw. This innovative design can be printed without supports and in a flat orientation, except for the roller which requires vertical printing and could even be done using vase mode. Two of each part are needed to assemble this spool holder successfully. To ensure smooth operation, a small amount of lubrication between the roller and support is highly recommended but not strictly necessary. However, it's essential to note that printing the roller vertically may require some extra finesse. Assembly involves sliding the roller over the support piece before inserting the notches on the support into the corresponding notches on the left and right pieces. As illustrated in the third picture, the roller is colored blue, the support black, and the left and right pieces red. This clever design allows for a seamless connection between all three components. For those curious, the cardboard box used as a base was reinforced with two wooden pieces held together by hot glue to enable a stable platform for taking pictures.
