Spool Holder for 3DPN Design Contest

myminifactory

This is an entry for the 3DPN design contest, where I aimed to keep things simple by leveraging the existing shelf printed bracket as a support to counteract the overturning moment caused by the spool's weight. The holder is designed to slide smoothly along the wooden member, allowing it to bypass any spools that might be in its path without needing removal or repositioning. By avoiding these extra steps, I successfully met my goal of not requiring the removal, lifting, or sliding of any spools. A small brim and support are already integrated into the model for added stability. My test print using PLA at 0.2 mm thickness yielded excellent results, and printing it solid with three perimeters is recommended for optimal performance.
