Spool Holder Filament End Detection
thingiverse
Filament holder from the source https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2036479 is enhanced with a small part to connect the filament end detection sensor from BIQU: https://www.amazon.com/BIQU-Filament-Detection-Accessories-Extruder/dp/B08QJDSZCL/ref=sr_1_22_sspa?crid=7PVAGBSA6DAU&keywords=BIQU+Filament+Break+Detection&qid=1678381544&sprefix=biqu+filament+break+detection%2Caps%2C195&sr=8-22-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExVEMxVEZFRzM2N00wJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMDA4ODk5MzlSVkRGTjZVN1E3TCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwOTQ5NTEyMkFYUFE2UkkxTExYWSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2J0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= It is easily clipped and with 2 peaces M3x16mm screws just loosely clipped inside. The OpenSCAD file allows an adaption, if needed. !!! important!!! The connection of the BIQU Filament Break Detection Sensor has to be exchanged in the cable between the Vcc(red) and Out(white), if you are using the MKS Gen_L V2.1 base board, like I do. I have tryied it out on older board and the output of the BIQU shorts the supply voltage Vcc to ground! The schematic and the Top pinning is shown in the pictures. I used in the Marlin software the Zmax pin to detect the FILAMENT_RUNOUT_SENSOR at the J8 connector. If you have problem with it, just write me to phorn@solnet.ch
