A perfect spool holder - sturdy and strong. A Printrbot Simple lacks any built-in filament holder, so this custom solution saves me from tedious feeding sessions. This design fits 50 mm diameter spools up to 70 mm wide with ease. My experience involved printing a large piece, requiring 6.5 meters of 1.75 mm ABS filament. Two part names are worth noting: parts ending in "_high" require high-poly support and parts labeled as "_low" use regular complexity settings by default. To assemble the holder, first print both the main component and a pin. Disabling supports may be necessary if your slicer options permit it. Next, carefully insert the printed pin into the eyedrop hole of the holder until securely locked in place.
