Spool Holder Dust Cover for hopefully every Spool size
thingiverse
I was needing a spool holder fitting for a spool with a smaller hole diameter and wider width, still wanting to be able to put 200mm spools in the same enclosure. I recreated the shells and clips on my own using the design of "SPANNERHANDS" at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:994813 and added an adapter for it to be mounted on the back of my 3D printer. To do this: Print the original "Threaded Shaft" with a scale of 58% in X and Y directions and 140% in Z direction. For the original "Threaded Screw," I used a scale of 57% in X and Y directions and 140% in Z direction. The original "Locking Ring" was scaled to 58% in every direction, resulting in a really tight fit. Now it comes to the parts as created by me. To my created parts: "SpulenhalterClips" are the clips to keep the shells together. Six of these clips are needed. "Spulenhalter" represents the shell and needs to be printed five times. "SpulenhalterLoch" is the shell with a hole for the filament to exit and a 6mm tubing connection. "AdapterCTC" is the part that goes between the "Locking Ring" and the "Threaded Screw" to fix the whole thing on the back of my (maybe your) printer. It could be that the parts might not fit on the first try, and some sanding may be needed since I don't know your printer. Mine worked fine. Any suggestions or questions? Leave a comment.
