This upgrade elevates spools, ensuring wire clearance and evenly supports odd-sized holes for smooth spinning. It also allows 1/2" rod or tubing usage to prevent spool walking. My modification has provided 20 hours of trouble-free printing. To install, print parts with standard settings (2 shells, 5% infill) on a raft with supports. Remove supports and slide the Dispenser tops over the holder, extending forward if desired (untested). Add spool supports to MBI spools and slide them onto the 1/2" stainless steel tubing. Secure with locking collars like these from McMaster (http://www.mcmaster.com/#1511k12/=oagvzm) or print caps for added stability.
