I utilized "TUSH - The Ultimate Spool Holder" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554) for a considerable period of time. Admire its simple design. Nevertheless, placing the spool on the two pieces did not meet my expectations. They tend to shift and so I sought an adjustable spool holder. Many designs appeared too complicated with spindles and sprockets, one utilizing 7 or more ball bearings. I wanted something as straightforward as TUSH but more reliable and adjustable. This is not a remix of the TUSH. It was entirely newly designed in Fusion 360. This is what I came up with. All parts fit together perfectly without additional sanding. The dovetail guide has a snug fit. One piece is attached to the dovetail guide with one M3x8 countersunk-head screw. The 608ZZ ball bearings (used for skateboards, obtain cheap ones) press fit and don't fall off. Need some force to push them on. The two equal sides are pushed together and mounted with two M3x12 countersunk-head screws. I added small holes for up to 8mm silicone self-adhesive rubber bumpers used for cabinet drawers or doors. They securely prevent slipping. The lever is eccentric and secures the second holder on the dovetail. Let me know please if you can utilize that.
