This spool holder accommodates both 1kg and 1lb filament spools, with a design compatible for attachment to a Printrbot Simple. Alternatively, by mirroring the exterior stand, you can secure it to a table or wall. The spool shaft slots at a 45-degree angle, enabling horizontal or vertical mounting. Mounting holes in the base ensure firm anchoring on solid surfaces. Various holders are included to match standard market spools; if your size isn't available, let me know and I can customize one for you. Utilize a short piece of 5/16 or 8mm threaded rod. Be cautious as spools may unwind too easily; pre-load the bearings by tightening the nuts on the shaft to provide drag, preventing uncontrolled unwinding. A 1.5" spool holder was added on June 6, 2014.
