Spool Holder (4th try)

Spool Holder (4th try)

thingiverse

This is my fourth attempt at creating a spool holder that meets my expectations. I'm finally satisfied with the result, and it's designed to stand independently of my printer. The holder's diameter can accommodate all of my spools, and I've set its height to match the average print height on my Ender 3. You'll find the "SpoolHolder4.scad" file included, allowing you to make any necessary adjustments. To prevent the retracting filament from back-spinning the spool, I've placed the holder at a safe distance from the printer. The height of the holder is determined by the length of the support rod. The support rod is made from pointed steel or aluminum, measuring 1/4 inch in diameter and approximately 20cm long. It supports the top holder, arm, and provides additional stability to the entire structure. The arm is secured using a M4-20 cap screw. I recommend that the taper on the point of the support rod be sharper than 45 degrees with a 2mm flat surface instead of a pointed tip. I've had some issues getting the images displayed correctly, but thanks to the help from the community, I was able to resolve the issue and ensure they appear upright.
