A few weeks back, I had to improvise a spool case for my MK3S printer. In the process, I printed a spool holder model that didn't mesh well with the BQ filament spool due to its asymmetrical shape. So, with a 16 mm diameter tube and some patience, I designed this custom support. The images show the BQ spools alongside my solution (under the rolls lies part of the old spool holder).
