I crafted this spool holder to stop my spool from jamming while printing. Unimpressed with the standard issue equipment, I created my own solution. First, I headed to Harbor Freight to grab some affordable 2-inch rubber casters. Next, I stopped by Lowe's and picked up the necessary hardware - threaded screws, a few washers, and some nuts. Taking precise measurements came next, followed by designing the holder. After printing a few prototypes, they performed flawlessly, offering almost no resistance and smooth rolling motion. These spool holders were printed using Hatchbox PLA with excellent results.
