The taller spool cradle design has one major drawback - the spool sides aren't held in place by the edges of the cradle. This is because larger diameter BB ball bearings are being used. I created a small device that clips into the holes on the cradle, providing a guide and keeping the spool from slipping off. In my case, this modification was essential for preventing accidents.
