I constructed several spindle boxes, and to secure the spindle onto the rotating plate, I fabricated a center guide that fits perfectly to a swivel plate featuring a 55mm center hole. Additionally, I created several clips to prevent filament from slipping off the spool. Interestingly, all my spools are of the same type despite being sourced from various suppliers, which may suggest a standard (DIN 8559).
