This spool gear has been customized for compatibility with various spools obtained from different sources. It mirrors Ian Johnson's filament winder spool gear design, albeit with slight alterations and a cone starting at 50mm and decreasing to 20mm. A replacement hall effect holder is in development, but the bearing-holding part requires refinement due to a slightly loose bearing. The assembly requires a 5/16 or 8mm threaded rod, a 608zz skate bearing, four fender washers, and three 5/16 or 8mm nuts. The designed holder accommodates the Cheap-o hall effect sensor; it employs 12mm magnets procured from a local craft store. However, the gear is yet to be mounted on the board, with updates forthcoming as progress ensues.
