Vertical Storage Box for PLA or ABS Spools with Humidity Protection. Requirements: * Waterproof plastic box * 8mm threaded rod * 8mm nuts * 4mm screws * 4mm nuts * 5mm (internal diameter) toroidal joints * Silicone seals The concept of this system is to store as many spools as possible in the box, with the vertical position chosen because my box can hold six spools in this orientation compared to five horizontally. Advice: Place a nut between each spool. The filament passage is designed to have plugs with toroidal joints. Two types of plugs are available, one short and one long, allowing for access to a piece of filament without opening the box. The filament passages (with toroidal joints if necessary) are numbered (a simple version without numbers is offered) and have threading for storing removed plugs. A perforation allows those who want to fix the plugs with a wire. The second objective is to guide the filament completely protected to the extruder in a PTFE tube. A piece of PTFE must be installed in the filament passages. A PTFE connector allows connecting the PTFE linking the extruder to the filament passages of the box. The entire system accepts toroidal joints. The STLs also offer: a base support for threaded rod with a counter-plate to relieve efforts, a triangle of top threaded rod to prevent movement of the rod, and fixings of the triangle with counter-plates also to relieve efforts. And for those who prefer horizontal spools, fixings of threaded rods to be placed at 45° (opposite) to immobilize the entire set while keeping the possibility of removing the rod as needed. Advice: Use bathroom silicone seals to seal the necessary perforations in the box. Depending on the quality of your print, you may need to re-perforate the different holes to obtain the perfect diameters and possibly sand the ends of the triangle to facilitate installation and removal.
