This is a storage container that holds up to 7 reels of filament. It feeds the reels directly to the printer and keeps the filament dry with desiccant in the bottom compartment. You can place it above your printer, or put it beside, below, or anywhere else as long as your bowden tube reaches and has enough slack when the z-axis moves up. By using shorter pieces of bowden tube for unused reels and switching to longer tubes when changing colors or types, you can save on bowden tube usage. What you need to print: RodHolder_M30 - Print 2 of these and attach them to each end of the container to support a 1-inch dowel rod. H7Spool_AB - Print 2 of these to get a total of 4 parts. If your printer can handle printing 440mm long parts, use the H7Spool_Full STL file instead. H7Spool_Full - Print 2 of these if your printer is capable of handling 440mm long prints. You will need: A 1-inch diameter dowel rod or equivalent, such as a broom handle. Cut it to the length of your container. A storage container with dimensions 16.25 inches wide x 23.5 inches deep x 13.5 inches high. Bulk desiccant. 14 PC4-M10 PTFE Quick Fittings 28 M5 x 8 button head bolts 8 M5 x 16 button head bolts 36 M5 Hex Nuts At least 25 feet of bowden tube You may not need the M5 x 8 button head bolts if you use only the PTFE quick fittings. In that case, drill holes in your container for the quick fittings. Also, get a quick fitting to receive the bowden tube before it enters the extruder on your printer. If you have a CR-10, print the filament sensor mount I uploaded (thing:2826970).
