A spool bushing, designed to fit on the ID with a 608 bearing and an OD measuring around 51mm for a 1kg spool, is inspired by Thingiverse's creation at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:8697. To use, print two pieces and insert a 608 bearing in each. Then, add the bushings on both sides of the spool. Attach a 5/16 or M8 threaded rod with nuts on either side to create light friction against free-wheeling filament. Lastly, pair it with your preferred spool holder, such as http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3326.
