Spool Adapter Turnigy Fabrikator 3D
thingiverse
I am creating this Spool adapter for Turnigy Fabrikator 3d so that I can use spools with a 31mm arbor hole and a 10mm arbor securely in my 3D printer. Sometimes you will need to ream the center hole of this adapter in order to get a perfect fit, but it should snap right onto the spool with ease - remember to print two separate pieces, one for each side of your spool. My settings when printing out these adapters were quite conservative in order to save as much filament as possible: I used a low 30% infill density and did not print any kind of fill on the bottom surface. This adapter will need some fine-tuning before it can be used in conjunction with a Turnigy Fabrikator 3d, so don't forget that adjustments may be needed depending upon your own printer. Printing these adapters using a Raft was unnecessary in my situation because there would be no issues whatsoever due to overhang or any other type of support - it's really not going to come out as expected. But on the other hand, Supports are often beneficial when 3D printing and might be necessary for your project, depending upon its design requirements. The best course of action in most cases will be to set up your Infill density at 30%, especially if you want strong yet light objects. Printing without supports is generally faster as long as it won't damage your printed item, but there may come times when Supports are needed due to certain structural integrity concerns. When adjusting settings in the Turnigy Fabrikator's Step Settings panel (Settings in x, y and z), simply move them in the following order: First turn X axis speed up, then Y Axis Speed. Don't forget that it might take a while for each part to complete, but 80 x 80 mm on an XY scale of settings plus a 1604.8 Z is usually okay - this really does provide nice quality output from most types and materials used today, even high flow at 100%.
