Spool Adapter

I wanted to share this simple spool adapter that tapers from 46-54 mm, accommodating a variety of spools including Hatchbox, Atomic, AIO Robotics, and eSun. I prefer creating projects that utilize traditional hardware when beneficial, rather than printing every possible component. This setup is straightforward, using parts readily available at most hardware stores and working perfectly. It consists of a 3/8" rod with flanged bronze bushings and a spring clamp, making it a convenient solution for many users. The adapter cube can be used to hold a 3/8" rod in something designed for 2020 extrusion, such as this design: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:996695. Note that the bushings may not be necessary with materials like PLA, but they add a nice aesthetic and sound effect. I also appreciate using components made for specific functions, such as bushings, inserts, and others, rather than relying solely on plastic parts.
