Spool
thingiverse
I've seen many excellent spool holders on this platform, but none that I truly admired, so I modified a design I found and absolutely adore the outcome. This design enables the spool to rest comfortably on the top left of my Anet A8 printer. No adhesives are required; it snaps together seamlessly. Specifically designed to accommodate 608 bearings. When purchasing these bearings online, I discovered that four cost around six euros, which was the most affordable option available. However, I ended up buying four fidget spinners for just four euros and received sixteen bearings as a bonus, so keep this in mind. During printing, I employed supports for all components except SpoolBaseSide.stl. For infill overlap percentage, I set it at 35% across the board. While it can function with just the base, I prefer not to risk having my spool pulled down onto the printer as it becomes lighter, which is why I included an arm that inserts into the center of the spool. You have the option to print this arm on one side or both sides. When printing the arm piece, ensure a high infill setting so that the arm possesses sufficient strength.
