Spooky Cycles "MetalHead" Brake Adapter

Spooky Cycles "MetalHead" Brake Adapter

thingiverse

I made this as a test for, what will eventually be a machined aluminum brake adapter for my classic, 1999, Spooky Cycles "MetalHead". After putting it on my bike for a test fit, i realized it actually functions. It's been on my bike for several years and hasn't broken yet, even under pretty rough conditions. It DOES flex a bit and I still intend on making an aluminum version eventually but the durability of this has made me interested in doing a few more printed versions with some mods to add stiffness. As I update the design, I'll add the files here. I'm adding some video describing how the part works. If you're in the crazy small niche crowd that has one of these frames, this could be a great way to add more current brakes. ;) here are some videos. I've since added a crossbrace and a slight update, (which is what's uploaded now) I'll try to get some photos to accompany this... https://youtu.be/cEhHQzzjyQQ https://youtu.be/l_Df8bGpXsI
