SpongeDaddy Caddy

thingiverse

Thingiverse needs more sponge holders 😂We bought some new sponges, the SpongeDaddy kind, and they were thicker than the previous ones we had, so I had to design a new sink-side holder for them. My wife likes hexagons, so it's full of hexagons. Holds six sponges with a width of up to 26mm and a depth of 70mm.Prints without supports in PETG nicely. Four little elevated feet can take a ∅20mm rubber foot if you want (I have a pile of them from unboxing Cisco switches), or any kind of grippy material, or even just a little plastidip. I had thought about making TPU feet but they don't really grip so well and I don't have any TPE yet. Maybe once I get some 77A TPE I'll make a clip-in foot for it. Even without feet the surface contact is minimal so there's less water hiding under the holder getting all mildew-y.My print profile (the .3mf is a Bambu Studio project file) has optimizations for speed and quality I would suggest using. I usually have my chamber fan set to 40%, AUX to 20%, and prop the door open while printing eSun PETG. The little hexes can get wobbly if the chamber is too warm, as I've learned from other similar prints.
