Sponge holder for sink
thingiverse
Single print a simple hook-like holder for your sink sponge! I ditched my old suction-cup style sponge holder because it couldn't withstand the brush-styled inner walls of my steel sink for much longer. Now you can see why - those suckers just lost their grip eventually! Last time I tried using one, it completely gave up its adhesion and dropped off yesterday!! I came up with this replacement which is super easy to print and also air-dries really quickly while holding both a dry and a wet sponge securely in place. It was the perfect fix! This hook fits comfortably from the center point of my sink faucet to the outer edge, taking only 33mm of space (Length). I should mention that it will also sit flat against your sink due to its circular base which has a diameter of 40mm. Just a quick tip: I found it worked out best to use painter's tape when printing this object on my bare Wanhao build plate - because it really helped to ensure successful prints despite the hook's very slim foot size! On a separate note, following numerous kitchen makeovers and changes of city I added yet another design version for my current sink setup, where its diameter measures 20mm and fits snugly over an extra 40mm (center point of faucet base to edge of sink). To sum up this upgrade in chronological order: * 3/4/16 update - a second file has been generated that meets all specifications which included an overall height, an even shorter reach for anyone requiring an L40 from the middle point of their tap, to fit any R20 sink setup.
