Sponge Holder
thingiverse
I designed this sponge holder out of frustration after dealing with dripping sponges every time I did the dishes. Every minute I spent putting away other dishes was wasted because I had to place the sponge on the counter while it dripped away.\r\n\r\nTo solve this problem, I created a device that lets the sponge hover over the sink where it can drip without making a mess. This way, you can put your energy into washing and rinsing your dishes rather than dealing with a wet sponge in the middle of everything.\r\n\r\nSince my printing area is compact, I divided the design into three separate parts: the grip, spine, and tray. Just snap them together for instant use. Although this design was made specifically for one type of faucet, you can still use it if you have a similar model.\r\n\r\nMy bed may be slightly warped, which caused the pieces to fit together with a bit more force than usual. The tray also bent slightly due to the room temperature and ceiling fan blowing directly on it. To avoid this issue in the future, I recommend printing the tray with a brim to keep it stable.\r\n\r\nFor now, my sponge holder works as intended, but there are still some areas that could use improvement.
