This is a sponge bottle cap that fits standard sized soda bottles. It should screw onto your typical 20oz bottle, 2-liter bottle, water bottle, or even the mini soda bottles as pictured. All it requires is an empty clean soda bottle, a slightly thick sponge, and optionally a small rubber-band (creates a nice seal). The sponge should be cut into a pyramid-like shape with the top cut off. The larger portion of the sponge (bottom of the pyramid) should be about twice the size of the square top of the opening. The opening has a small lip and with the big part of the sponge inserted, the top part of the sponge pyramid should be about the same size as the square opening and sticking out about half an inch or so. You can control the flow of the liquid depending on how large you make the bottom of the sponge pyramid. This may be useful for thin liquids like window cleaner, or thicker liquids like oils. This is great for washing dishes and windows, as well as other uses. You can use it to paint things, apply cooking oil to a pan, etc.. I originally made this to apply my 3D Printer Bed Tack (what I use instead of glue sticks) to my printer bed. It's cheaper than glue sticks, works fantastic for 3D printing, and cleans up easily with just a little distilled water and a paper towel. I've posted the formula on how to make the ever so awesome Wyqid's Bed Tack on my website: https://www.wyqid.com/p/wyqids-bed-tack.html I just started building the website a few days ago, so it needs a lot of tweaks. For now, enjoy this useful design for your sponge applicator needs. Also, if you need sponges or rubber bands you can pick some up at the links below.
