Spoilboard for CNC1325 Router
thingiverse
This custom spoilboard has been engineered to match up perfectly with the T slots on a 1325 Chinese CNC router. The router boasts six independent vacuum sections, and there's one matching spoilboard for each section. It should be cut from 18mm MDF sheets. I managed to snag some 2700x1000x18mm boards that were initially used for packaging at an amazing AUD$2 per sheet. The board attaches securely to the bed using M8 bolts, and it comes equipped with 30 M5x10 threaded inserts for workholding. Both the bolts and inserts are recessed to enable multiple resurfacing before discarding the board. If you plan on using this spoilboard on a vacuum table, both sides should be thoroughly surfaced and the edges sealed to allow each section of the vacuum table to operate independently. A 10-minute video showcasing the board being cut is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Y0ol5MrMvU The design model is created in Fusion 360, with most components parameterized for easy customization. I've also included an STL file to meet Thingiverse's requirements, but I genuinely advise against 3D printing your spoilboard.
