Split Loom Clips for OpenBuilds V-slot Extrusions
thingiverse
These wire-loom clips fit seamlessly into OpenBuilds V-slot extrusions, commonly used in numerous 3D printers. They provide an efficient way to secure the wire bundles directly to the printer frame. However, upon investigation, I found that most available options for 1/2" split-loom were undersized, specifically targeting a 1/2" outer diameter rather than the desired 1/2" inner diameter. The first uploaded design has an inner diameter of 17mm and is precisely crafted to accommodate the standard half-inch plastic split-loom wire wrap. Its thickness is carefully calibrated at 1.5mm, allowing it to print tightly with two shells using a .4mm nozzle while maintaining sufficient flexibility in PLA to snugly fit around the wire bundle. The model boasts parametric capabilities, making it easy for me to generate additional sizes upon request. I will promptly upload a design tailored to 1/4" split loom as soon as I take necessary measurements.
