Split Lead Nut

Split Lead Nut

Today's updates to the Thread Library include a negative space module that simplifies thread clearance calculations and a hexagonal nut creation tool. By passing identical parameters, you can generate a negative-space thread version designed for screwing onto a specific thread. Furthermore, as an intriguing demonstration, I showcased the new capabilities with a split lead nut. To use it, clamp the parts over a lead screw or trapezoidal threaded rod and fasten them with two nuts and bolts. The lead nut, when prevented from rotating, moves in and out due to the rotation of the lead screw, as commonly seen in CNC machines. Images are provided to display the split lead nut, negative space with integrated chamfers, and a cut-away view of a hexagonal nut on a rod to illustrate clearances. The code for this project is available in the same repository as the library at https://github.com/syvwlch/Thingiverse-Projects/tree/master/Threaded%20Library; ensure that the library resides in the same directory to execute it successfully.
