Split for toy tractor and wagon
pinshape
Our daycare scored big by snagging a free tractor and trailer, but they were missing one crucial piece: a split to hold them together. I took it upon myself to design a solution, measuring carefully as I went along and experimenting with a print-in-place technique that ended up working flawlessly. All you'll need in addition is a sturdy spring. To ensure the split would be strong enough, I printed it at 100% infill, paying extra attention to the print-in-place part. It's also essential to print the split horizontally as shown in the picture to give the tiny rotating pin the best chance of actually rotating and making the print more robust.
