Spitfire RC Airframe

Spitfire RC Airframe

grabcad

Amateur print-ready RC Spitfire airframe crafted with precision. The airfoil boasts an exact semi-symmetrical design, featuring six degrees of dihedral for exceptional stability. Engineered to scale at one-eighth the full-size model, the wingspan measures 1120mm in total, exceeding the current 140mm dimension. Designed on Tinkercad using a combination of shape generators including "swept NACA symmetrical airfoil," "flattened cylinder," and "square tapered to cylinder." The center of gravity location remains undetermined at this time. The design incorporates channels for servo wires within the wings and tail section, as well as angled slots for aileron servos located beneath the wings. A hole is provided in the motor mount plate for ESC wiring. The fuselage features a hollow structure with ample space available but lacks specific compartments for ESC, battery, and receiver installation. Additional magnets, spring-loaded clips, or rubber bands are necessary to secure the hatch. I intend to utilize Spektrum/E-Flite electronics, consisting of an AR636 RX, 30A ESC, 9 gram servos, and a 1300-2200 mAh 3S-4S E-Flite or Spektrum battery pack.
