Spitfire Chair Project

Terry Stonehocker's Labelled Q6 Power Base originated from GrabCAD. The chair design is inspired by a Spitfire plane cockpit, with modifications such as custom upholstery and a propeller at the back. The goal was to allow for adaptation of a few parts while utilizing character-filled old components. A small DC motor can be linked to the Q6 supply, powering the propeller at the back for an illusion of movement. The gear ratio is currently set for safety and show purposes, but it could be adjusted for flight capability. The seat features a slot hole for glass covering or replacement for safety reasons. The upholstery requires customization and can accommodate posture and comfort adjustments. Controls and wiring from the original base can be incorporated, along with potential additions like control sticks, engine start switches, and oil temp labels from vintage planes. Accessorize with welding or flying goggles, an old character-filled jacket, and cockpit seat belts for a complete experience. Have fun!
