Spitfire Caddy / Stand / Carrier
thingiverse
I required a sturdy caddy/stand/carrier for my 3D lab-printed Spitfire, so I came up with this innovative solution. With this handy tool, there's no need to detach the wing when transporting or storing your Spitfire or similar RC airplane. Simply secure it down with velcro and you're good to go! The print resolution is 250-300 microns, while the infill percentage ranges from 10-15%. I didn't use any supports. To build this caddy, you'll need one meter of 32mm (1 1/2 inch) PVC or PP drain pipe. Cut it into three equal pieces for optimal results. Attach a velcro strap around the bottom tube to hold the fuselage firmly in place. Meanwhile, use a longer velcro strap on top tubes to secure the wing. I hope you find this design helpful! Happy printing.
