The sprawling remains of Spiš Castle dominate the eastern Slovak landscape, boasting one of the largest castle complexes in all of Central Europe. Perched atop the charming town of Spišské Podhradie and the quaint village of Žehra, this majestic fortress is situated within the storied region of Spiš. In 1993, UNESCO recognized its global significance by adding it to their prestigious list of World Heritage Sites. Measuring an impressive 41,426 square meters in area, Spiš Castle takes pride of place as one of Europe's largest castles by landmass. Its grandeur has captivated filmmakers, with productions like Dragonheart and The Last Legion having chosen the castle as a backdrop for their epic stories. I crafted this model using the Agisoft Photoscan trial, leveraging the capabilities of a drone-mounted video to bring it to life. Subsequent refinements to the geometry and texture mapping were expertly handled within ZBrush's versatile digital environment.
