Spirograph remix parametric
thingiverse
My remix of the spirograph by @BeaRes The number of teeth are cut into the base and wheels. This uses the original .stl files, unchanged. You can print directly from my .stl files if you like them, but if you wish to change anything you will need to download the original .stl files and my .scad file. The .scad file has parameters to let you easily change the font, its size and which of the two original files to use - the one with the thicker base, or the original where the base and the wheels have the same thickness. If the .scad file is not in the same folder as the original .stl files, you will need to provide the full path to the .stl file that you want to import. OpenSCAD has a help function to show which fonts are available on your machine - click help > Font List, then click on your chosen font, then the “Copy to Clipboard” button. Paste the result into the .scad file line 7 defining “fontstring” as “something:style=something”, replacing the font definition already there. I've done my best to make sure I've counted correctly the number of teeth, but if I've made a mistake please let me know and I'll update the files.
