Hi!\nWhat's this?\nThis is a hand cranked drawing machine inspired by some Spiro-drawing machines I've seen recently.\nI couldn't find anything fully printable, so I decided to make my own version.\nWhy I love this machine?\nIt's 100% printable - except for markers and paper sheets!Hand cranked! But maybe easy to plug in a DC motor. No supports at all. I hate supportsThis thing is fun and addictive. Those gears, loops, and mechanics are highly addictive (at least for me)There are surprises inside. Explore with gears, combinations, and you'll find some surprising patterns - or ugly and messy drawings :P\nWhat am I downloading?\nA ZIP file with all the STL's Many STL files uploaded as a ZIP with files organized in folders.A PDF assembly guide. A step-by-step assembly process with pictures and some tips. Please read before asking on comments. The STL's shown are in ZIP file, just needed to attach some STL files to publish this thing ;)\nI hope you enjoy printing, assembling, and drawing this one!!\nHave fun!!\nAdvice: If there's any file missing or can't print something, please tell me in comments. After renaming and organizing the STL's, I'm afraid I forgot something. (Hope not, but Murphy's always with us)\n\nCustomizer for gears and plates: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2052529\nTo do: (eventually)\nAssembling and testing video\nCleaning and publishing OpenSCAD files\nMaybe a circular cutter for the paper sheets\n\nPrint Settings\nPrinter:\n BQ Prusa i3 Hephestos\n \n Rafts:\n No\n \n Supports:\n No\n \n Notes:\n No supports\nResolution: 0.25 for gears, plates, bars, and guides. 0.2 for screws, nuts, and small partsUsing brim on small partsAdjust Horizontal expansion to -0.1 on gears and plates to get a smoother engageIt's easy to print, reduce flow, and/or use horizontal expansion reduction for pins, gears, and maybe screws and nuts if you have trouble inserting or screwing parts
