Spirited Away Lanterns

These are little lanterns based on the anime film Spirited Away. They make a perfect light decoration for your Halloween or Studio Ghibli decorations. They can be fitted to mini light strings to make a string of decorative lights. Put them against a white wall and they will cast shadows of the characters. Given that these are tiny in size and some have a lot of detail, use the highest resolution you can to show the detail. There are two different sets of each model. One is for mini light strings, the other is for 12mm pixel nodes. The pixel nodes are great if you are using x-lights or just want color changing patterns. The tops are a remake of legochuck's larger lantern, but much reduced in size. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3988263 I have made seven different lantern sets in both mini light size and pixel node size. You can get the mini lights at any store when holiday decorations start coming out. The pixel nodes you can get from a number of sources. If you have an X-Light controller you can set them to music. If you like the color changing bulbs but just want a simple setup, Elights sells a string of 100 12mm pixel nodes and a controller you can operate from your phone that will do all different colors and flashing modes. The picture shown uses that kind of setup. Each lantern set will say if it is for mini lights or pixel nodes in the name of the model. Each file contains all the pieces to build each lantern as a set. This is the easiest way to print as you can put one or two sets on a 220mm square bed with no difficulty. You can also delete any piece you don't want to mix and match or rearrange. To assemble, glue the pieces together. Note. Light strings that have locking tabs on each bulb will not fit without modifying the top, however you could glue them to the bulb. Takes a lot of printing, but an entire light string of these will go well along a wall to give a unique Halloween spirit to your home. Enjoy.
