"We've got one!" While Spirit has produced a really good PKE meter, it needs a little help to make it truly great. Here's what I modified on my PKE meter: 1. Clip Plug - To enhance the clip plug, disassemble the back of the PKE meter by removing the screws and take out the screw holding the clip in place. Next, use a Dremel or other cutting tool to carefully remove the cone attached to the clip. Insert the clip plug into the hole and secure it with glue. Use Bondo or similar sand-able filling putty to fill any gaps that form. Once dry, smooth out the area with sandpaper and apply a coat of paint. 2. Screen - To upgrade the screen, I printed the main part using green filament with supports, stopping at 4.5mm. Then, I swapped to yellow filament and started the second print at 4.5mm, making sure to turn off skirts. You may also want to switch to a .1 print height for sufficient layers. To access the screen, completely disassemble the PKE (watch Punished Props' YouTube video for instructions). Use a Dremel or other cutting tool to carefully remove the colored buttons from the old screen. Glue the new 3D printed screen and button into place. 3. Button - Print four of these. You can use either silk silver filament or spray paint them silver. There's no need to disassemble the PKE to install these; simply hot glue them into the speaker holes. The hot glue will act as a muffler, allowing higher pitched beeps to come through while slightly silencing the ambient noises Spirit added to the device. While you have it apart, consider sanding the outside case lightly and applying a coat of paint. I chose flat black. If you're comfortable working with tiny electronics, you might also want to change the LED sequence on the arms. You can find this information in the GBFans.com forums.
