Modification parts for the Spirit Halloween Proton Pack are designed to be a game-changer. Filler plates are crafted to fit seamlessly behind areas that need a little extra attention, such as the speaker grille or molded-in Clippard after it's cut off. To install them, simply glue them in place and then fill the area with epoxy or spot putty, sanding and blending until smooth. The Powercell Lens prints beautifully in translucent blue PLA, but be sure to print it solidly, with supports, and have the small side facing the build surface. The supports should come off easily, and the lens should pop right into place from behind. If you want a high-gloss finish, flame polish the surface carefully. The V-Hook outer filler plate has an asymmetrical design, so if it doesn't fit one way, try rotating it 180 degrees to see if that helps. The inner plate, on the other hand, should drop into place and index perfectly with the center pin. Remove the old center piece first (four screws) before installing the new parts. The loom clamps engage the 1/2 Polypropylene loom via small teeth, so make sure to note which one is inserted from the rear (looking at the inside of the pack) and which one is from the top (looking at the outside of the pack). Each clamp will need to be curved slightly to fit snugly into the pack body. To do this, gently heat them up and then press them against the cyclotron body until they take on the proper curve. New additions include small and large long Dale resistors for the Ion Arm, which now have 1/8 holes in the middle to fit the 1/8 tubing used on Spirit packs. I had to do a significant amount of remodeling to fix the original files, which had huge mesh issues. A remodeled Brass Elbow has also been added, which mounts on an easier-to-redrill 1/4" hole and accepts 1/8 tubing. This new elbow is designed to be more user-friendly than its predecessor. To mount the pack shell to the motherboard, I've included a nut-capturing mount that uses 5mm nuts. I recommend using nylocks and lightly gluing them in place for added security. A missing second booster tube connection has also been added, which can be made from a small chunk of 1/4" corrugated loom connected with blue 1/8" tubing. The Spirit Wand to 1/2" (Stock) Loom Coupler is now available as an add-on part. This coupler is designed to work seamlessly with the Spirit Wand and can be used to connect it to the pack. A full Guntrack, V-Hook (Male and Female), and fully integrated V-Hook mount on the pack have been added, which are a major upgrade for fans of the Proton Pack. The peg on the wand sticks through part of the guntrack, so be sure to use the WAND POST CUTTING JIG to trim it to length. The Booster Tube Connection model has also been updated to R2, made slightly larger and better matched the ribbing on the pack. Finally, I've removed the Clippard Insert files as I designed a new one for my replacement full-size Clippard model. Check out my Things page to see it in action! Happy Halloween!
