Spirals2

Spirals2

Although this resembles the https://pinshape.com/items/434... design, it is actually quite distinct. To create a closed top, I had to thoroughly re-engineer its underlying geometry. I also swapped the cross-section of the spirals from rectangular to circular. This modification slashes print time since the printer no longer needs to contend with corners and their associated acceleration/deceleration maneuvers. This part took 27.5 hours to print using a 0.200 mm layer height and a print speed of 100 mm/sec. This lamp can accommodate either a battery-operated or wall-powered LED light. Links for all the required wall-powered parts can be found on this blog page, which also demonstrates how to connect everything: http://birkbinnard.com/blog/wall-powered-led-lights/. For battery-powered puck lights, simply visit any large home improvement store or search online for "LED puck light".
