Spirals2

To craft a seamless top, I had to overhaul the underlying components' geometry from scratch. Additionally, I swapped out the spirals' cross-section from rectangular to circular, which slashes print time since the printer no longer needs to contend with corners and the accompanying acceleration/deceleration maneuvers that corners necessitate. This part printed in 27.5 hours using a 0.200 mm layer height and a print speed of 100 mm/sec. This lamp can accommodate either a battery-operated or wall-powered LED light "puck." For all necessary wall-powered parts and setup instructions, visit http://birkbinnard.com/blog/wall-powered-led-lights/. To find battery-powered puck lights, simply head to any large home improvement store or search for "LED puck light" online.
