Spiral puzzles
thingiverse
This collection showcases puzzles tied together by a common thread. Some shine in solitary color, others elevate with a mid-print color swap, and still, some thrive with multicolor printing.\r\n\r\nThree core puzzles make up this ensemble:\r\n* A cube base assembly, comprising four spiral pieces and a foundation, benefits from two-color printing. Interchanging spirals yields two cubes with dual-colored bases, each containing pairs of colored spirals. These can be assembled in distinct ways; reversing one's configuration to mirror the other is an excellent starting point.\r\n* A multicolored cube base puzzle requires attention to diagonal color stripes for proper alignment. Its assembly follows a similar process as the previous puzzle but demands more precision.\r\n* A pentagonal prism, crafted from five spirals and two end caps that snap together via a triangular post, is enhanced by different colors for the end caps and spirals. However, the challenge lies in correctly assembling the spirals to achieve a neat pentagonal prism alignment.\r\n\r\nThe hint given to theoretical astrophysicists was "contemplate one-parameter subgroups of the Euclidean space symmetry group".
