Spiral Plow
thingiverse
The spiral plow is incredibly straightforward, delivering exactly what its name promises - a plow that creates a spiral in the sand. It consists of three parts: two that come together to form the whole spike and one that serves as the plow itself. Upon testing the plow, I discovered that the rod's diameter was too small, prompting me to create two additional models. The "rod 2" model can be attached to the first rod if it has already been printed, while the "rod 2 without rod 1" design fits snugly onto the spike if the first rod hasn't yet been printed. To use the spiral plow, simply tie a loop in each end of a piece of string and attach one end to each part of the plow. Then, place the spike in the sand and drag it around in a circular motion. As you continue, a spiral will gradually emerge, leaving a beautiful design that's sure to put a smile on anyone's face. While the concept itself is simple, there's actually some complex math involved - much more complicated than you might initially think.
