Spiral Plants Vase (Fast To Print)
cults3d
Hi everyone!\nThis is my latest design for a vase, created to test out a unique printing setting.\nIf you enjoy my designs and want to stay updated, follow me on Instagram: engineli_3d\nOne drawback of spiralizing mode is that it prevents the creation of objects with thickness; only one-wall surfaces are possible, along with no top layers. This model has been designed for normal-mode printing, one layer at a time.\nAs seen in the second image, I've incorporated a spiral cut into the side of this vase. This allows both internal and external diameters to be printed simultaneously on a single wall.\nAdditionally, I've added a small spiral concavity within the inner diameter, ensuring that every layer change occurs precisely at this point (by selecting "sharpest corner" under the "z seam alignment" setting in Cura).\nAs a result, the print is remarkably fast; despite its large dimensions, it took just 1.30 hours to complete using 1 wall, 0.3 layers.\nThe outer surface has turned out beautifully thanks to this unique printing approach.\nMake sure to set the bottom thickness to 2mm and infill at 0% for optimal results.\nI've also created a base that operates on the same principle; if you prefer not to experiment with these settings, simply print the "normal" models I'm uploading.
