This is the curve parametrized by x=t*cos(t), y=t*sin(t), z=t, spanning from t=0 to t=5*pi. There are several versions of this curve: 1) The spiral_new_merged.stl file features equations embedded in the curve - we believe this file provides the best results for printing. 2) The spiral_thick.stl file includes equations on the curve, but they protrude from it. 3) The spiral_thick_no_equations.stl is simply the curve used in each print. This model was designed and printed by my WLU summer research student Ryan McDonnell ('17).
