I made this lamp to test the accuracy, speed and reliability of my Shapeoko 2 CNC printer. I'm helping a friend make custom 3D printed LED lamps and wanted to show him a sample of what the machine can do. This object is completely hollow and does not require any supports. it took me 3 hours to print with settings under the "instructions" tab. http://youtu.be/QVbZ4bTnJTwhttp://youtu.be/ELo-Dct9RO0 Follow my project here: https://crunchysann.com/BL/projects/ Instructions This model can be made on any FDM printer capable of 100um resolution along the Z axis. If your printer is not capable of such resolution, please scale this lamp along the Z-axis to decrease the blades' slope. Kisslicer Free edition was used to slice the file with the top side down (smallest outline seating on the print bed). The reason being that a small light could be inserted through the larger opening. Speed: 51mm/s (try reducing to 30 mm/s for more reliable prints) Layer thickness: 0.1 mm Temp = 165 C (this may vary depending on your filament and printer setup) Enable spiral vase mode no supports no infill Total print time = 3 hours Enjoy
