This is a custom version of the spiral hoop gear created by HenriDIY, engineered for seamless operation with minimal drag and backlash. By scaling down the original design by 0.6, I've optimized it to accommodate 5mm input and output shafts, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of applications. A standardized frame has been added, allowing for effortless mounting to other components. This modified design relies on four high-quality bearings (5x13x4 mm each) to maintain smooth operation, requiring collars to secure the drive gear in place. The drive gear itself prints flawlessly when facing upwards, resulting in a 26:1 ratio that delivers exceptional performance.
